The Science Club provides a joint meeting place and time for students to share ideas and interests they have in science. This is an excelleant opportunity for each student to study further his personal interests both in library research and laboratory experiments with more individual counseling by the advisor. Each student is expected to enter a project of their special interest in the spring District Science Fair. To encourage interest in areas of science not covered in the science class, films may be shown, speakers brought in and field trips are taken. Other participation fsociallyj includes: parties, dances and picnics. INDUSTRIAL ARTS CLUB WORKS ON MANY PROJECTS FIRST ROW: M. Lasiter, D. Crapse, J. Hamilton, K. Boote, R. Loveall, L. The Industrial Arts Club worked on their projects, played touch football and had recreation in the gym. They helped build a bass music stand for the music department and did repair work on our school sign.

In card club we play many different lcinds of cards. For example: we play pitch, rummy, solitary, canasta, sixty six, forty five, and hearts. A variety of tournaments are held during the year. The Model Club is a group of boys whose hobby is making models of cais, airplanes, boats, trucks, tanks, mo- torcycles, etc. The club meets 3 days a week during 4th hour to work on the models. In the spring, a contest is held to determine the top three entries in each major area, motor vehicles, aircrafts, and boats. A trophy is awarded to the top three entries in each category.
