The Student Council project for this year will be to place a metal Hawk on top of the trophy case. Our fund raising projects have been selling cleaner, booster badges, pennants, and candy after school. The Student Council will sponsor the annual sweetheart dance and the annual talent show again this year. Mrs. Harlow, Mr. Long, and Mr. Humphries are the sponsors. Library Club students perform many of the tasks necessary to the efficient operation of a library--checking books in and out, shelving books, reading shelves, filing, preparing new materials for use, cleaning and repairing old ma- terials, promoting the library, and giving cheerful service to fellow students. Library Club students become more effective users of the library. They gain experience with the card catalog, Reader's Guide, reference books, verti- cal file, and audio-visual materials and equipment.

1 ! r HAYSVILLE TEEN CLUB BUILDS LEADERS The Haysville Teen Club is an organization of young women representing the youth in today's world. We, a group of Christian women, endeavoring to grow in character, in friendship with people of all races, religions, and nationalities, also strive to grow in the knowledge and love of God. We strive to do projects for the nursing home, the children's homes, our school and civic organizations, such as the United Nations Children's Fund. The sponsors are Mrs. Hamblin, Mrs. Fulton and Mis, Allen. LEARN HANDICRAFTS THROUGH HOME ECCETTES CLUB FIRST ROW: P. Venable, T. Fahnholz, C. Shipman, K. Palmer, C. Reed, P. Coffey, S. Rogers, SECOND ROW: Z. Burgess, V. Murrow, V. Cook, C. Schauf, M. Chambers, D. Offield, THIRD ROW: Mrs. Tjaden, Sponsor, D. Sturchio, O. Jackson, C. Schofield, G. Webb. The Home Eccettes Club is composed of a group of 8th grade girls. The girls are offered the opportunity to learn many different types of handicrafts, among these are knitting, crocheting and embroidering. The sponsor is Mrs. Tjaden. SPANISH CLUB HAS BUSY YEAR FIRST ROW- J. McQuilkin, S. King, J. Elliott, G. Hargrove, L. Cole, K. Dorsey, E. Atkinson, T. White, SEC- OND ROW: W. Reichmann, M. Friend, I. Elliott, D. jack, I. Hunt, R. Harlan, R. Snyder, B. Gordanier, THIRD ROW: Mrs. Fosmire, Sponsor, R. Green, E. Rader, D. Holman, K. Clothier, W. Vickers, G. Smith, S. Barton. The members of the Spanish Club elected joe Elliott President, Geri Smith, Vice- President, Shelly Barton, treasurer and Ellen Rader, Treasurer. They decided to make it a social club, with some cultural activities. Bake sales were held to raise money for game prizes and field trips. Members also enjoyed playing bingo, learning the Mexican Hat Dance, singing songs in Spanish, and other activities. 'K l
