Basketball season got under way on Dec. 2 when the team Haysville Derby 22 traveled to Derby for a doubleheader. The 8th graders won the Haysville Valley Center 43 game by the score of 35-22. At the three quarters mark of the Haysville Augusta 38 season the team has 4-4 record. and are in third place in the Haysville Wellington 14 Suburban league standings. The team has remaining games Haysville Carlton 30 with Wellington, Augusta, Carlton and Mulvane before going Haysville Mulvane 38 to Mulvane to compete in the league tournament.
