I-' ill- I The Haysville junior High Science Club is made up of both seventh and eighth grade members. The purpose of our club is to go deeper into the knowledge of science than we normally would in our class rooms. The club tries to meet at least twice a month and enjoys many field trips and extra activities. Trips such as the following, Halstead Health Museum visitation, attendance of the Science Day at Kansas University of Lawrence, and touring of Wesley Medical Center are just a few examples. Guest speakers are also welcome at any opportunity. Another main activity of our club is our participation in the annual district Science Fair being held each year during May. Every one works very hard on a project of their own interests and to gain the opportunity to take their project to the Regional Science Fair held annually at the Beech Activity Center. Our club usually sends at least ten members and as many more as possible. We are always proud when any of our members gains acknowledgement there. We Would also like to show our appreciation to our science teachers who help sponsor our activities. These are: Mr. Craig, Mr. Van.Etten, Mr. Hebb, Mrs. Winters, and Mr. Simmons.
