This is your once-in-a -lifetime news and sports reporter, Gayle Puckett, coming your way over Station F.L.O.P, , Haysi, Va. My sponsors are two great millionaires, Sue A. and Kay K. , composers of that great novel, Kwitchurebelyakin. At the top of the headlines I have sad news for everyone. The President of the United States, Joe K. , and his eight bodyguards, Kermit W. , Beacher H. , Ralph K. , Charles A. , Delmar B. , Roger C. , Bobby D. and Wayne F. , were shaken up a bit today when the station wagon in which they were riding overturned near Curtis O. , most famous Women ' s Auxiliary Clubhouse. When State Policeman Richard Owens, accompanied by his deputy , Loyall H. , asked what caused the accident, Chauffeur Glenn O. answered in a very merry tone, White Lightenin ' Cheer, dwelleth here. On Sunday, January 3, singing sensations Weda C. and Emory F. appeared on the Margaret A. , TV show. They sang their most recent recording, TOM DUTY. This morning Reverend Tommy L. Anderson of the First Presbyterian Church led the choir in a very beautiful hymn, Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown. At the same time across the street Tommy S. Anderson, of the Second Presbyterian Church led their choir in an equally beautiful hymn, No Not One. Rancher Nancy A. has always wondered how fellow rancher Dennis Owens brands skinny cattle so fast. Today she found the solu- tion. He lines them up five in a row and brands them with carbon paper. Congressman Bob Fuller says to be a good citizen you must love your enemy. Ex-Congressman Danny H. says drink is man’s worst enemy. Ring -Leader Avery Edwards will probably go down in History as one of the greatest Ring -Leaders of our times. He recently led his gang behind the wall of Sing-Sing. He was graciously accompanied by Roger C. M. and Roger D. Mullins. Trella Hensley was recently chosen to represent the United States in the Miss Universe Contest. Virginia B. will cover the story on XCQ TV. Miss Bowman will also be given the medal for the best TV reporter of the year. It will be presented to her by last year ' s winner Alice O. Patsy S. , a local student at Haysi Tech, plans to go to Germany soon. She will further her studies in baby care. Nurses Peggy P. and Priscilla V. have delivered their 1,001st baby. The baby was Actress Jerline Sykes ' s niece. Miss Barbara M. , director of the Haysi Glee Club, will be guest of honor at the Coconut Grove. She was chosen to represent Haysi in the Annual get-together of Old Maids. Jean W. and Helen T. were the second females to ever make a trip to the moon. Dixie S. , Janice R. , Gay T. and Janice O. welcomed them with a big celebration. These six gals will return to earth where they will be met at the New York airport by their landlady, Gay F. Six -foot-five Raymond R. of Haysi Tigers made all star this year. His manager, Roby W. , says Raymond will be entered in the Olympics next year. Gary and Vearl, along with their Sutherland Brothers Circus, will tour Europe this year. They have already toured the 48 states and part of West Virginia.
