Class Prophecy Man your stations! !” Three minutes until take-off, said Bobby Willis. These are the words I hear so I rush to take my position at the tail of the rocket. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero. We then zoom into outer space on our mission to the moon. After we have settled down to an easy pace, we then adjust our instruments to the right degree. Clinton Fuller, our captain, shouts back for us to un- fasten our safety belts, Carl Yates is manning our ray guns with the aid of Onsby Yates and Sammy Childress. Von Shore Sutherland and Norman Grizzle are kept busy peering into the radar screen. They are watching a space show starring those four all time greats Rose Sutherland and husband and Juanita Powers and husband. Lois Hamon, Jean- ette Sykes, Betty Sue Mullins and Betty Fuller are doing that new dance the Moon -bo. They are dancing to the band of Imogene Dye with Edna Mae Sykes on the drums. I then pick up a newspaper published by Bobby Rasnick and read the headlines, Lois Wright ' s husband has broken the world ' s record of breaking dishes. Beulah Mullins and husband are now buying a space ship for taking a vacation to Mars. In the society page Lois Rose and husband have now retired to their Rocket Ranch on Mercury. I lay the paper aside and then turn on my space radio and hear the life of D. C. Sutherland written by Virginia Miller. I turn to another station and hear Space Hep Cat Show with Garmon Mullins, Raymond Rakes, and Kirby Mullins playing real hot Jupiter numbers. Barbara Davis, Sue Puckett, Betty Sutherland, and Ruby Edwards are singing The Naughty Pluto of Shady Mars. I turn off the radio and then gaze out the window at the passing scenes. I see, on the top of Venus, Paul Charles and Nancy Hall ' s modern cottage with Ruth Rose, their maid, sprinkling star dust on the Milky Way. Glenna Yates, Thelma Fuller, Shelia Yates, and Gladys Edwards were working on Uranus for those great star manufactures Dorse Counts, Farley Deel, and Ronald Branham. We go a few moon miles more when I see Rose Mary Sykes, Bobbie Jean Smith, and Josephine Artrip shooting meteors at James Mullins and Asie Viers. Then we come around the corner of Saturn and almost had a collision with another rocket ship driven by Blanche O’Quin with Rita Counts, Shelba Epling, and Greta Turner in the back seat holding on for dear life. We have now reached the Moon and there we see Avery Barton and Lowell Bartley feeding their mice green cheese. Donald Sutherland gives us our landing instructions and we make a safe landing. I pick up my medical bag and step outside on the Moon to wait for my next assignment. Rita Rae Wright
