The starting team, consisting of Co- Captain Glenna Phillies, Delma Kilgore, and Nadine Bev- erly as forwards , and Co-Captain Eulalia- Belcher , Arlena Phillips, and Mary Ann laggard as guards, has Played magnificently. No one girl could be classified as the star of the team. 7 ie won because of unselfish and whole-hearted co-operation of all members of the team, vir. Robinson, who expertly coached the girls, gave much praise to the excellent relief work of Clara Fields, Lois Stiltner, Mary Raines, lyrl Powers and Pauline Mullins. The first check showed that we bad only one letter man, Captain Clayton Belcher. The r st of the squad was very willing, but lacked ex- perience. As the season progressed, the team showed much improvement. Even though the team hasn’t hit the winning column in the county, they have never been out played, regardless h ow much the opposition scored. Their well-qualified coach, J. M. Tarwater, who has played college basketball, has often said that his team may not be the best in basketball , but they can’t be excelled in sportsmanship. ..ith a year ' s experience behind the boys, t ey should meet some of the teams on even terms next year. The following are members of t e squad: Captain Clayton Belcher, C. G. Edwards, Bob Turner, Leonard F.
