N! 9 s f' J X E5 With the interests of more than 500 students in mind, this group of busy Hays businessmen, who served on the board of education, met the first Monday of each month to take care of the many problems in operating a school system. This year, the board worked on bui dini improvements. They received no pay for t eir services. Al- though Mr. C. A. Active in many organizations is Mr. Phillip? At present he is a member of Ro- tary nife and Fork Club, and the Coun- try Club. This year he was president of the Hays Civic Music Association, and presi- dent of the West Central Kansas League. Mr. Phillips served as president of Kansas State eachers Association in 1944- 1945 and Bpresident of Kansas Educators Club in 19 0. He is a member of the K. S. T. A. Educational Planning Commission and a member of the Resolutions Commit- tee of N. E. A.
