On Decem- er 13, 1939, the dream of many efforts, of muc work, and of a great deal of plan- ning came true when the new addition of Hays High was dedicated. Mr. Phillips' enthusiasm for the promotion of good clean sports has placed him high in the opinions of athletes and sports fans. His willingness to help in just little things as awarding reading certificates, crowning the Valentine royalties, and writing Christmas greetings. in artistic I-penmanship in the classrooms has won him a place in the hearts of all students of ays High. . Mr. Phillips' work is not complete. Under his guiding hand Hays High will continue to grow in size, in valuation, and in education. 7 Oar' O uca ion First row-Paul Ward, William Toepfer, president, E. J. Dreiling. Second row-Clyde U.
