Clockwise from below: Teresa Edwards sits back and enjoys her spare time. Robert Alvarado, Kevin Newville, Steve Johnson, and Tommy Edmunds stop and take a break from the hassle of school. Candy Demory and Bill Rountree talk over the day ' s events. It is a proven fact that students work better when given a break during the day. Perhaps this was the reasoning behind the newly started 10-minute break at Hay- field. At any rate, the students took advantage of it! The break was between second and third per¬ iods and gave the students a chance to drink a coke, to do some last minute studying, or, more often, to try to wake up. student life 25
