. . . together! We won the football game last night! It was a group endeavor. Sure there were those eleven guys out on the field. They handled the ball. They scored the touch downs, but didn’t the cheerleaders and drill team also play a part? And that spirited bunch up in the stands, they had their role. “Everybody” didn’t cheer with one voice. We were individuals. Everybody on the football team didn’t throw that long bomb in the third quarter, but they all had their job. Who can say that the interior linemen weren’t just as important as the quarterback or the ends? Each man had his own role of immense importance. If anyone had fallen down on the job, we wouldn’t have succeeded, but none could have pulled it off by themselves. It took the team, the whole group, everybody ... 9

There are those things that just cannot be taught in a classroom. These things can only be learned through experience and each day is crowded with enough experiences for everybody. Some teach us to be ourselves, our own men; others go only to strengthen the ties that bind us together in a cooperative unit, a moving, striving whole. 11
