Being escorted by the football players were twelve excited, young girls. This year's princesses were Robin Case 8th grade, Wendy Reese 7th grade. Mark Mandler represented the H club as Master of Ceremonies. The Moment arrived and the reigning 1971-1972 Homecoming Queen, Carol Enderson, crowned Marsha Haukom as her new successor. Friday night after a tremendous effort the Hayfield Viking lost to the Goodhue Wildcats. The queen, her attendants and the candidates were featured as part of the half-time show along with the band.
