FRESHNIAN CLASS NEWS On September 4-, 1947, ten freshmen entered the high school assembly. It seemed to us it was quite a little running around in the hall, but we did get used to it. Our class consisted of five girls and five boys until the first of February when joan and Alice Perkins joined us. One week after school started we elected our class officers, Mr. Stice as our sponsorg Bernard Heller, Presidents Anton Trca, Vice-Pres- identg Gertrude jakoubek, Secretary and Treasurer. After having eight days of Christmas vacation we came back to school worrying very little about our semester exams. On February 14- we sent clothing to the European Relief Association. We hope they received it, and were all pleased. SEVENTH AND EIGHTH NEWS Twenty six boys and girls enrolled in the junior High School last September. There were thirteen in the seventh and thirteen in the eighth grade. At the beginning of the second semester Colleen Smith enrolled in the seventh grade. Marie Streyle left us in February. Donavon Sanquist entered the eighth grade in March. We have worked hard, but have also had some fun during our school year. On October Z9 we had a Halloween party at the school house. The Teachers and the student council members were our guests. November first is a day that we will all remember, for on that day the members-of our room and Miss Goll's room went to West Bend to see the grotto. ' The eighth grade dramatized the Courtship of Miles Standish at our Thanksgiving program. The junior Choir, under the direction of Miss Baker, helped present the pageant The Nativity at our Christmas program. We have enjoyed having Miss Baker as our music teacher. Monday evening, December Z2 was enjoyed by all, for that was the evening of our caroling party. Miss Baker led us in the singing of carols to the shut-ins about town. After singing at many places, we returned to the school house and played games and had lunch. We also had a Christmas party and Valentine party in -our room. The junior High basketball team played the Woden junior High team on February 2, but were defeated.
