CLASS PR OPHECY As I stepped out on No. 18 with aethumb protruded, I waved a passing car. The car whizzed on, leaving me standing with a determined look upon my brow, my pack on my back, comics in my shoes, and a penny for luck. I was a failure in the social world, but I was a mere twenty-five, with years to make my fortune. Isn't that the same car coming back? That's strange. I seem to know that face.' After six husbands, men were utterly the last word with Elaine. She told me she lived extrava- gantly on her alimony. Elaine informed me of a circus coming to town. I love a circus, and as Elaine admired the sword swallower, we went to the Heller Brothers Circus. We went in to see the famed fat lady, and who should we find as the fat lady but Sheryl, who had given her- self the stage name of Gayle johnson. She eats candy canes and all the fattening food, but is always disappointed, as she is still thin. She told us she had a lot of Stuff to do in the show. How she ever got that job is a mystery to all who know her in real life. Sheryl toddles out on the stage daily, and almost laughes herself hoarse trying to make her stomach jump up and down. ' After seeing all the sights of Reno, including Sheryl, I bade farewell to my friends of old Hayfield High , and continued my journey to Hollywood.
