Peterson A Reading, stakes Nell Driven ---------------- Geraldine Fagerstone A very delicious menu was prepared by the Juniors' mothers,and served by einht sophomores chosen by the vote of the Junkn'class. The individuals chosen were Marlys Nitsch, Norma Jean Nitsch, La- Verna nv-mJ3 gary Lou Repass,John Bisho- Duane Fisher Duane 'ex P1 1 V 1 and Connie Rader. The girls were dressed in red and whiteballet costumes and the boys were dressed as clowns. The following menu was served: Barkers Fruit Cup Lions-Special Green-Balloons Tent Poles and Confetti Clowns-Delight Pink- Everyone had a wonderful time, and afterwards a dance in the I.0.0.F. Hall in honor of the banquet. The Junior colors are blue and goldg our class flower Tea Kose and our motto is,'Ne HmmIHlls To Climb And The To Climb Them.' FRESHMAN CLASS Pop-Corn Balls Ring-Masters Salad Lemonade was held is the Strength On September 2, 1946, 29 Freshmen enrolled in the Hayes County High School Late in the first semester,Jimmie Smoots, from Colo- rado Spr1ngs,Joined the class, but later moved to Palisade Doris French enrolled during the first semester She was forced to drop out because of ill health Becks moved to Shelton in November so mrvin left after finishing the first semester Doris Hastings en- tered during second semester 1hen'the number of members was again 29 The class exper1.nced the usual ups and downs of a Freedman class but the final outcome was alvays in their favor Four freshmen were included in the group which participated in the interscholastic contests at Kearney Carl Kittle-Shop,Corrinne Burkert and Jane French-Latin, and Norma Jean Curran-Sewing trophies were won but much valuable experience was hained Phere were several parties during the year which added the necessary gayety to balance the seriols side The class officers were President--- --- - -- - - - - -- -- ----Norma barren Vice President ------------------------ ------ -- --Laryl Richards Secretary ------ --------- ---------- ---------- --Donna Strop Treasurer ------------- ------------------------------- Donna Dtrop :lass Colors ------------------- - Royal Blue and Jhite Class Flower Pink Tinged White Rose 'lass Motto 5Not at the Finish, Just at the start' QfX W 9 .
