' 9 Each year our number has decreased, and now as seniors we have an 0 enrollment of nineteen. , 5 x ' Three were unable to finish the Freshman year with us. Keith i Smith and Wayne Pace moved away, and Wanda Mosley had to leave us 1 because of illness. At the end of the year Donna Bartel and Ber- , , nice Brown moved away. - At the beginning of our Sophcnore year we learned we had gained , a member, Richard G. Peterson. Then the last semester Lorene Mc- Nutt moved to McCook, and Barbara Lanphere moved to Palisade. ,' . 0 , . - W ' When school began again,and we were Ju.niors,we found our class ' 3 lessened by the loss of three members. Gloria Irland returned to California to finish school, Willard Reimer to Culbertson, and 3 Roger Seed to Oregon. Eileen Hopk1ns,who attended school in Wau- neta her Sophomore year was back with us again. ' I This year we were glad to know we hadn't lost anymore of our f members. Wendell Norman became a new member. Then the last semes- ter Eileen Hopkins moved back to Wauneta. 5 During our Junior year, we presented the comedy A Henpecked ' I Hero'. And on April 125, of this same year, we entertained the 8 . Seniors at the Annual Jr. Sr. Banquet. we used the Seniors colors ' A of Brown and Gold in a fffestern Theme. Q . The Senior Class officers were elected the first of the year V and are as follows: Pres. Robert Repassg -Vice Pres. Maydine Pot- terg Sec. Marjorie Fisher and Treas. Iris Finn. Those on the Annual Staff were: Editor, Iris Finn, Asst. Editors Alpha Lacey, . Gary Iviaucher, Ruth Carter, and Maydine Potter. , 2 . ' April 26, 1947, we were the guests at a banquet given by the ' Junior Class. Our Class Colors were carried out in decorations . Q in a Circus Theme. ' 6 The Senior Play 'Civil Service , was held April 29 and May 1. A X It was a comedy drama of American life depicting the joys and sor- ' rows,the heartaches and struggles and temptations of a small group I of government employees working in a small city in the middle-west. K The second week in May brought the much dreamed of Sneak Day. A V we journeyed to Lincoln in the School Bus for a long to be remem- , r bered week-end. J . - ' Q .K 1 The night of May 18, Baccalaureate Services were held at the 5 Union Congregational Church, and on May 22,Commencement was held. Hanley, While looking thru the encyclopedia of the class of '47' I thought that you wouldllke to know where each of yourstudents are at the present time. It doesn't seems like twenty years has gone by since all of us were back to-gether in H. C. H. S. But here it is 1967. - The first one I read was Iris Plnn, she is working as the sec- retary of a blsbbusiness man at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, N. Y. and she . pes to be included in his will. Then next was Harold Richards, who is now a very highly skill- ed psychopohist at clocks. He wants to know what makes them tick. He is now living in Switzerland. And Verna Dell who is now in the deep'dark jungles of Africa searching for the almost extinct, 'horse flyu to finish her last scientific experiment. You have probably read about her other experiments as the new spray that makes the gum under the tables disappear into thin air. - W Also in Switzerland is a sheepherder, Curtis Dodeman. He wanted to get away from it all. And in Rome was Delores McKillip on her annual tour of the world. She was lecturing on'How to de- velope the mind.' In Paris is Leonard, now a noted dress designer and owner of his own manufacturing plant and is known as, nTheman who knows the womenl' In China is Maydine Potter who has been there quite some time. She likes working with the Chinese relief so much that she has decided to make her home with them. Then in the down under continent ls Robert Repass who ls now a famed detective. He almost has Sherlock Holmes of Scotland Yards beat. The only difference is that Holmes is in England and Robert is in Australia. He is now wqrklng on the case 'Who shot Mickey Mouse and his Pal Goofy'? Then in the Hawaiian Islands near Honolulu is the great Hula dancer, Alpha Lacey. She was a fan and bubble dancer in San Fran- cisco for quite same time but she decided that Hawaii was the are place for her. Next is Jim McDonald other the Supervisor of the day and Andl hear that he has quite a to win. Then right down the coast Los Angeles Hospital for she the Second Sister Kinney. I Then in chicago is Vaughn Hilson who is a noted typist who has broken the world record in typing at 160 words per minute. In Philadelphia is Gary Maucher who is broadcasting on the radio as a Second Nalter Nlnchill and his sponsor is of the new, All new Jet propelled cigarette. Then in Miami, Florida is Richard '.
