HCHS If i I FHS!-dr.: ' VN Q 'fsamusy SENIOR PLAY Hen usually thought Vichy's pranks were cute, but Professor Perry curtly ordered Vicfy to call and apologize or drop the course. Vicky sulkily lbeyed. At the Perry home she overheard a bit of gossip: The professor has been offered a deanship ------- if he can get a wife. His friend John and famlly rally around to help. John offers his secretary a curly headed minx who can't spell, as an ideal wife. Grandma's can- didate is Tootsie Bean, a bit plump, but a master hand with a lemon chiffon pie. Vicky, longing for revenge, proposes a friend Valerie, a southern charmer, who makes a fool out of every man she meetsg Grandpa won't tell the name of his candidate. Convulsing scenes follow. Grandpa makes each of the girls think that the professor has pro- posed an elopoment and they all appear ready for a dash to matrimony. To save the situation, John dresses as a woman and comes weeping in trailing three children after him and passing himself off as the prof- essor's long lost wife. The three girls console themselves elsewhere. In a whirlwind finish Grandpa's candidate winsg the professor finds a wife in the little spitrlre, Vicky. Those who took part in the play were: Dale McNutt, Mary Ann McKillip, Phyllis Laird, Omer Rucker, Carl Schuman, Byrdine Laird, Don McGill1vary, Sheila Counce, Merle Seed and Shirley Counce. Mrs. Dixon directed the play and helped make it a success. The interludes were filled by music before the play by the senior girls, a dialogue be- tween the first and second acts by Jack O'Brien and Junior Wach, a farewell speech between the second and third acts by Bob McKillip, the Class President. 10
