Mrs. Ruth Green Class Colors .... ...Red and White There are thirty-five members in the Junior Class, which makes it the largest class in school. Sixteen are taking the Normal Training Course. Fourteen girls are in Pep ClubgEighteen girls and nine boys are in Glee Club: Three of the girls are in Sextetteg Nine girls and four boys are in Chorus: Nine members are in Instru- mental Music. Several boys were active in football and three boys played on the basket ball squad. This class presented their Junior Class Play, nMystery of Mumbo Jumbo2November twent1eth,nineteen hundred and forty-one. Four Juniors were in the one-act play, WDear Lady Be Brave, given at the Declamatory Contest in Culbertson, February sec H ond, nineteen hundred and forty-two. - 'll'

SENIOR CLASS WILL The following is the will of each broad-minded,influential, considerate, and ah, yes, nlrresponsible' Senior of the Class of 1942, which hails from Hayes County High School, Hayes Cen- er, Nebraska: Louis Stackhouse, the mischievous,yet very good natured and friendly Senior wills his athletic ability to Donald Mc Gilli- vary, a Sophomore. Lucille Mc Dowell, the petite, lively, and happy go lucky Senior wills her sweet disposition to Gilbert Gigax. Dale Fowler,the good-looking, and captivating Senior, wills his curly hair to Vyona Christner. Esther Switzer, a blond,having a pleasing personality wills her studious habits to Darlene McLeland. Verl Glee, the capable and witty Senior wills his jolly and most hearty laugh to Billy Sullivan. Rowena Lacey, the quiet, neat and well dressed Senior wills her blond hair to Doris Schneider. Mary Leah Jones,an alert, ambitious, and intelligent Senior wills her weight to Patricia Orman. Lester Hoback, the Senior who is vivacious, with twinkling eyes, wills his many girl friends to Robert Moon. Wilbur Thompson, the energetic Senior, who is President of our class wills his height to Jack O'Br1en. Georgia Ohlson, another blond and cooperative member of the Senior Class wills her blushing to Geneva Huntwork. Otho Stone, the Senior, ,who talks with a lazy drawl that every one likes, wills his quietness to Wanda Hintllng. Riley Mintling, another quiet Senior, who likes to go car riding, wills his red hair to John Fisher. Evelyn Wilson, the tallest girl in the Senior class, who is industrious wills her boy friend to Thelma Brown. Ellis Clark, another Senior with curly hair, who adheres to his own work, wills his generosity to Albert Russell, just to keep it in the class. Velma Wilson, a Senior who is sensitive, profound, and very genial wills her letter writing ability to Jerry Housman. Albert Russell, the rather serious Senior,who is also curi- ous and enjoys fun, wills his school subjects to Dolores West. Kathleen Terrell, a very energetic, reliable and innocent Senior wills her singing ability to Patty Mead, just to keep it in Regular Girls Glee Club. Don Ready, another tall, studious, husky Senior wills his latest girl friend to Charles Rice. - 10 -

MI SOPHOMORES CLASS OFFICERS President ...... .... Betty Beazley Vice President... ...Dale McNutt Secretary .... .... Byrdine Laird Treasurer ........... Sheila Counce Sponsor ....... Miss Bertha TeSelle The Sophomore Class has an enrollment of twenty-four mem- bers. When school began this year, the total enrollment was twenty-nine members. Many of the members of this class are participating in ex- tra curricular activities. There are six in Boys Glee Club, six in Mixed Chorus, six in Regular Girls Glee Club, ten girls in Pep Club, seven members in Band, and four members out for Basketball. Two members were active in Football, and many mem- bers of the class have participated in Dramatics, and are ac- tive in Junior Girls Glee Club. Mr. Fisher was their sponsor for the first semester of this school year. The Sophomore Class initiated the Freshmen, September elev- enth, nineteen hundred forty-one, in the gymnasium, and a very hilarious evening was spent by all who attended. One member of this class took an active part in the Declamf atory Contest, and several members were in the one-act plays that were presented at our Carnival this year. -12..
