It is the aim of each member of the society not only to possess these qualities but also to uphold them. It is their aim to induce others to aspire to scholarly habits worthy service and active leadership. Students who become members of the National Honor Society must have an average of at least a B. They are initiated into the Society after the first semester of each year The duty of the Hay Springs National Honor Society is to publish the school paper, The Hilltopper. This paper is a bi-monthly. It is pub- lished the first and third Thursday of each month. Officers for this Chapter for the past year were: Stan Serbousek, Presidentg Mary Hanks , Vice Presidentg and Janet Luneburg, Secretary- Treasurer. New members which were elected this year are: Patty Braley and Jackie Johnsong Juniors: Gerald Christofferson, Rose Coleman, Aldene Dorshorst, Deane Jenson, Jimmy Peck, and Lu- wana Seegristg Sophomores.
