X WAS THIS PLANNED-Senior Wendi Van Hoose and Junior David Noya discuss the upcoming dance. Both had a unique look of their own. HEY, THAT HURTS!-Members of the varsity foot- ball team dispiay their passion for wild shorts. Print shorts were worn by many students. A fashion show. Fad charisma of colors like mustard yellow and mint green. Different skirts, outfits, and looks paraded around cam- pus. A popular item worn by most girls was boots. They varied from moc- casln boots to the typi- cal western bootsfll like to experiment with my outfits and wear my boots with long skirts, commented Senior Michelle Salazar. Fila was a brand preferred by Fast Flashy Fads many students. My friends and I really like the comfort we get when we wear Fila clothes, added Bouche Robinson. The denim look is one that always finds its way back to Hawthorne. The style being unisex made it easy for students to throw on Guess jeans, overalls, or a stonewashed jacket and sport a very casual and kick back look. As for hairstyles, the gals paraded a 'tpermed and ratted look around campus while the guys sported a short and gelled look. Students also had unique hairstyles like Hector Guiteriez 'tHector's hair adds color and excitement to the campus, explained Melissa Wilmot, and sets a pattern for others to express their uniqueness through clothing and hairstyle. his WHY AREN'T WE IN CLASS-Juniors Myra Vilches and Amy Sinanian are caught 'running an errand' during 5th period.
