COKE ANYONE? - Third year Student Council member Marilu Cl.uluJ Camberos encourages the purchase of soft drinks during the Ice Cream Social. Lulu was committee chairperson for the Ice Cream Social. PUTTING IT TOGETHER - Student council mem- bers Raymond Camberos, Lisa Fische, Erika Mour- elo, and Ray Rendon put together a Boppin' Banana Split. Separate groups were assigned to each dif- ferent kind of ice cream. ,ff ff! DIG-IN DELIGHT - Freshman George Rodriguez enjoys his first scoop of ice cream. The Big Scoop 5:00 P.M. - One small group ot the members appear. They are fully disguised in poodle skirts and bob- by socks or rolled up jeans and leather jackets. Carrying their equipment, they quickly rushed in- side the cafeteria to set up what appears to be an ice cream booth, a juke box, and a large banner reading Back to the 50's! 6:00 P.M. - Suspicious looking line begins to form at the cafeteria door. One by one they slowly creep in saying words like Boppin'Banana Split, Flock 8 Rollin' Sundae, Sock Hop Saturdays, and Twistin' Float . 6:30 P.M. - As more people ac- cumulate inside, my curiosity brings me to move closer. As I look in it seems like this gathering is attend- ed by everyone including Drill Team, Pep Squad, Band, and the regular spectators. What is this social gathering??'? 7:00 P.M. - lt's the peak of the event. A girl wearing a poodle skirt kindly asks me, What kind of ice cream would you like here at the Malt Shop? 7:30 P.M. - CASE CLOSED . . . This isn't another scene of a crime, it's the Student Council Ice Cream Social. l'll head over to the football game vs. Leuzinger to see what oth- er clues I could find as I attempt to Uncover the Mystery. 24 Ice Cream Social
