There was a large turnout at the first practice for the B Team this year. For this reason, many good ballplayers had to be dropped. Surviving the cut were Neil Larson, Robert Nelson, Milan Elton, Dennis Wamre, Brian Anderson, Meredith Schultz, Richard Rustad, Roger Quam, Carl Erickson, Gary Bergan, Lawrence Nelson, Jon Bredeson, Glenn Cook, Donald Gilbertson, and Harold Gie re. The players were inexperienced at first but soon were giving every team they played a fight to the finish. Coach Glenn Berg deserves credit for the performances put on by the B Squad. Several of the members were fortunate enough to dress for the A Game. 36

We defeated Frazee 33-0. Hawley vs. Dilworth We were really out to get our old rivals, the boys from the Roundhouse. We got our second straight victory by taking them 31-1. Everyone on the squad got experience at this game. Hawley vs. Casselton The boys were out to really defeat last year's Minn.-Dak. Champs. This was by far our best game of the sea- son. Although the boys tried hard, we were defeated by a score of Z0-26. Much to our discouragement, Bob Dahl's 90 yard T.D. was called back. Hawley vs. West Fargo We played our second home game tau under the lights of the ball park. The boys showed they were still a good team by defeating the Packers 43-7. Hawley vs. Oak Grove We spoiled the Grovers Home- coming day by defeating them Z6-13 in an afternoon game. They were a good ball club but we proved we were alittle bit faster and bigger then they. Hawley vs. Barnesville This was our Homecoming game. This far in the season we had been un- defeated and we were determined to keep it this way. The Seniors really gave the Tojans trouble. We came up with a 46-O final score. Hawley vs. Glyndon We took the Glyndon Buffaloes 34-7 in our last home game of the season. Hawley vs. Waubon We ended our season with another victory of 54-13. Again, everyone had a chance to play. We now had a rec- ord of 7 wins and 1 loss. In confer- ence play we were runner-up. Total points: Opponents-66, Hawley -287.
