ion-HLETIC BANQUET The l9S6 athletic banquet was held on Saturday night, April 26, in the high school cafeteria. Athletic director Kenneth Skidmore welcomed guests and served as master of ceremonies for the eveningfs activities. Speaker for the banquet ws Dean Campbell, a recruiting coach from the University of Texas. A theme of The Stars of Hawkins High School was used with the colors of blue and silver. The entryway to the beautifully decorated room was through streamers of blue and silver flanked by large blue balloons. A canopy over the room was formed of blue, white and silver streamers caught at the top by a cluster of silver stars. Blue and silver stars outlined the walls. The speakefs table held an arrangement of blue and white silk flowers with Star arrangements along the sides. The words of the thern wereton the wall behind the speakefs table in large blue letters.
