During the fifteen years that Mr. Smith has been connected with the Hawkins Schools, he has seen it grow from a little four-teacher elementary school with an evaluation of S35,000.to its present status of a fully affiliated. independent high school with an evaluation of S20,000,000. We in the Hawkins school system are assured that Mr. Smith is largely responsible for this growth, for our school's popularity, and the beautiful modern buildings in which 480 pupils and 29 teachers meet daily Mr.Smith received his B.A.Degree from East Texas State Tea- chers College in l93l:E.T.S.C.also presented him his M.A.Degree Mr. Smith is an active member of the local Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge. His favorite pastime is to browse among the shelves of the many libraries in our area. X Qu xx K... I LIZ O I Mr. Fink has enjoyed a number of fruitful and successful years as a teacher and as an administrator. He received his first teaching position in 1925 at Stout Rural High School near Winnsboro, Texas. During the next five years he taught at both Stout and East Point High School also near Winnsboro. Preceding h t h D b s b Y h is arrival at Hawkins High in 1942, he served as principal of he Junior High School in Winnsboro for thirteen years, We at H.H.S. are extremely fond of Mr. Fink and proud that e has served here in Hawkins both as principal and teacher. uring the eight years that Mr. Fink has been at Hawkins he has een c counsellor, advisor, and second father to many of the tudents who have passed on to higher halls of learning. Mr. Fink is the possessor of a B.S.Degree and a M.S.Degree oth of which were presented to him from East Texas State Col. Mr. Fink has a liking for all sports and has many hobbies, et his greatest sport and hobby is his son, Adon, with whom e spends many enjoyable'hours.
