They were Phyllis David, Betty Blunt, Jim Davis, John Gillespie, Leah Hubbs, Dean Montgomery and Larry Kelly. We were initiated by the Sophomore class. Girls had to wear men's cloth- ing, and the boys wore baby diapers and carried bottles around all day. We were given a party that night. Later on in the year we gave a return party for the sophomores. At the beginning of our sophomore year we lost Betty Blunt and gained Bon- nie Lacy. With the coming of the second semester came Marland Greenwalt. This was our year to get revenge on the freshmen. We had a rough initiation followed by a Kangaroo Court session that night. At tl1e beginning of our second semester Phyllis and Mervin Snyder moved in. The arrival of our class rings made us official juniors. We were very proud of them. The juniors picked Oriental Gardens for the Prom theme. We went to LaGrange and halped decorate for this occasion. A successful banquet followed the same theme. ' Most of us Juniors cou1dn't wait until we were seniors to take our sneak day so we took it this year. i One of the highlights of this year was the Junior-Senior Prom. We had a lot of fun trying to find out the theme, which we learned was Fairyland Ro- mance. We journeyed to Fort Laramie through a rain storm to enjoy the music of Vernon Rice. Commencement will mark another milestone in our preparations for the responsibilities we must face in later life. We leave with many fond memo- ries and will strive to achieve success in our chosen field of work. Our thanks go to those, our parents and teachers, who made our education possible. COACH NHCHIE This was one of the most successful seasons for the Hawks in several years. This can be proven by the record and the close games they pulled out of the' fire in the last few seconds. The team was noted mainly for its fine teamwork and working together of all the members. The sportsmanship trophy was awarded to the Hawks at District Tournament and this, we think, is a very fine way to end a successful basketball season.
