Qi as On the step of our ladder, many of our class- Jf mates fell along the way. We had enrolled that year w. twenty-eight with Miss Margaret Sharpe acting as our fl home-room teacher. A John Robert Natkins, Jim Wood, Bobby Swink, John McDonald, Carson Leach, Dorothy Stout, Melba Dean Keck, Frances Riley, Betty Jean Cheek, and Margarett Byrd re- . presented our room on the basketball team. During the year a Glee Club was Crganized. All of Q our musical minded crew fell into singing. Our Glee Club turned out to be quite successful. As we climbed on to the third step of our ladder, V we lost several more members of our class. There were J only twenty-two enrolled. During the year, the Juniors and Seniors went on a sight seeing tour to Raleigh. We had the pleasure of 4 meeting Governor Cherry. We entertained the Seniors at a Junior-Senior Ban- -'7 ,C quet at the Alamance Hotel on March ll. It was carried f' out in Hawaiian style with our Sophomore girls acting fr. 1 J as waitresses. Reverend Brown was the delightful speak- er of the evening. .I ,-4 ri ri At lastg We have reached the last step of our lada Lv 4 w der. We have twenty-one enrolled in our class with Mrs. E Helwig as home-room teacher. We are hoping to go out - into the world to become successful men and women.
