LW JIM NIVLEOIJ life Presideril J EANli'l l'l-I H 'X Nl ISLOCK Serretarvv This. our last year in the hallowed halls of Havre High School. has been filled with fun and activity. Under the leadership of our officers. Mac Vllylie. Jim Jlc'l.eod. Jeanette llanilvloc-lc. and M 'rna Larson. who were iresident. vice xresident. reeretarx. and treasurer ii I I . respectively. we prospered. The homecoming for the Class HA football champions lwhich was composed of a great number of seniorsl was reigned over by Queen Jeanette Haniblock and King Mac Wy'lie. Patty Purlcett and Jim McLeod served as Princess and Prince. Two of our senior boys. Mac Wy'lie and Jim Melieod. got all-state this year. Mac Wvylie. captain. for the Blue Pony football team. was named on the fourth football team of seven selected nationally by the Wigam Wiseiiieii of America. Jeanette Hamblock was elected as one of the cheerleaders of the Blue Ponies. We were represented very ably on the Student Council by Toni Wlynne, Keith Lokensgard, and Phil Eaves. Those filling the alternates' shoes were Louanne Snyder, Jeanette Haniblock, and Rayna Greene. On November 12 we presented the annual Senior Soiree. with the theme, Deep Pur Jlef' This roved to be ver unusual and beautiful. with the various shades of I l P Y A purple and pink, the spring flowers, and a fascinating waterfall. Next on the agenda for the senior boys was basketball. Four of the senior boys, Tom Wy'nne, Mac Wylie, Jim McLeod, and Jerry Elliott, were on the first string while Bob Wanago willingly substituted for them. We had very few dances and concessions this year, due not only to the fact that we donit care too much for work, but also to the fact that our treasury was suf- ficiently filled. The rigors of graduation then befell us, and with heavy l'?l hearts and smiling l ?l faces, we left this place of education. Mr. Howard Moon, Miss Mary Sweeney, and Mr. Wally Jacobson served as spon- sors for the class. Student Council is provided to give the students some governing power of the school. One alternate and one representative are elected from each ad- visory to represent their rooni. Officers of Student Council are elected in the spring of the year before school lets out. Peti- tions are signed and if they have fifty names listed, the candidate is eligible to run for the finals. This year our big project in Student Council was the revision of the Constitution, which we completed successfully. Some of the new ideas and plans will go into effect next year. At our meetings, we also vote on petitions for concessions at the games and the dances and con- cessions after games. This way projects are dis- tributed evenly to classes and clubs. sf,-fmmrmwfef STU D ENT CUUNCIIL ti if . , 'Fl - 'Lp'--T rig, IJHXXNX flliURfll'f. EDITOR tl.-XROIEF XYXI,IJRll'.
