Dear Students: In the education of youth, the means used are necessarily based on the convictions men have regarding the ultimate aim of life. The axiom He who wishes an end, wishes the means to that end when applied to education, determines the curriculum and method of training to be followed. Further, the strength of one's convictions in the purpose of life here and hereafter gives strength to both teacher and pupil. The basic foundation upon which Havre Central rests as a school is the Christian conviction of the origin, nature and destiny of man. As teachers, we wish to help you become ultimately citizens of Heaven. In so doing, we do not overlook the fact that first you must be good citizens of earth, hence, as educators we wish to prepare you for the world into which you will graduate, with its economic, political and social unrest. You will be your brother's keeper. Your neighbor has rights which impose upon your obligations. So, too, do you have rights. Likewise God. Towards helping you to distinguish between which rights come first, Havre Central exists. As you go forth, the Faculty hopes that you will justify Central's existence and sanctify your own by putting first things first. My T
