'83 FRESHMEN Being a freshman isn't easy. It takes a lot of humility and tolerance. A freshman is the one you find hanging on a coatrack in the halls, being sprayed with the lawn sprinkler, or standing at the end of the lunch line. However, in spite of the many hardships a freshman must endure, there are some advantages to the high school way of life. In talking with some of the freshmen,they all agreed that High school is better than grade school. After all, there is a wider variety of classes, more teachers, better sports competition, and more social activi- ties. One freshman remarked that she liked being able to make new friends - especially guy friends. I don't even mind having more competition in chasing the guys, she said. It's 'funner' that way.
