OUR SEASON During the basketball season many fans watched exciting games, including non-league games with Paulding, Sherwood, Union, and Rockford, in addition to the regular twelve Coun- ty games. The boys also took part in the Holiday Tournament at Van Wert. Beaverdam, Rockford, Willshire and Haviland were entered in this tourney. Haviland won their first game with Willshire, but was outscored by Beaverdam the second night ot the tournament. The county tournament was held at the Paulding High School and was played by double elimination. ln the tournament the Haviland players met Oakwood, Payne, Latty, and Oakwood. They won their way to playing Latty in the championship game. After playing hard and making a close and exciting game, they were only beaten by three points and were to return on Saturday night to play Oakwood again. This game Oakwood won 55-42. It was nice work, boys, whether we won or lost. You should be congratulated on your high spirit, teamwork, and co-operation. All through the year you showed good sportsmanship and this plays an important part in making any game enjoyable. Your fans also received proot ot their good attitude by the school being awarded the Sportsmanship Trophy at the county tournament, Once again, congratulations tor an interesting season! The managers of our team did their work well this year. They were ready all the time to help the boys in any way. You could always feel the team was well cared for by the boys in white. Thanks for doing your job welll This page sponsored by Laukhut St Beatty Locker, Paulding, Ohio, Phone 206-S
