Page 76 HAVILOOK 'l95l Class Prophecy LOOK! What is that on the television screen? LISTEN! What is the master of cere- monies saying? A reunion of the Haviland-Scott l95l graduating class! Everyone is seated around a large table, and l see that the master of ceremonies is going to interview each member. That must be Bud Laukhuf who is approaching. Bud says that he is married and pres- ident of the Gardner-Bender Greeting Card Company. He advises everyone to send cards on all occassions. Next is that brilliant member of the class, Harold Wenninger. Harold, a determined bachelor, is now President of Columbia University. Congratulations to him! fBetter watch that, IKE EISENHOWER, he is stealing your jobi. As we waii where, it might be Seated bea uty and Let us move around the table, we see Betty Finnegan. She has just returned from Ha- as a nurse, she was working in an Army Hospital. A patriotic girl, of course, nice too. next to her is Joy Rhinehalt, Mrs, America of l966. She won the honor on making apple dumpling with apples from her tree in Van Wert. find where some of the middle-aged gents are now located. lt seems that three have entered the athletic world. John Fast is now coaching the Zollner Pistons at Fort Wayne, while Russell Stoller is fast becoming the second George Mikan. Lloyd Lehman entered into the baseball field and is now the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Luther Hofacker is sitting next to Lloyd and is now telling us he is managing the well- known Chicago Roller Rink. His special star, who appears every night, is the former Miss Gloria Stiebeling. She received her training at the famous Ft. Brown Skating Rink. The sec- retary of the large organization is lreta Decker. lreta is quite efficient because of her ex- periences in bookkeeping, typing, and consumers at dear old Haviland High. l see that Phyllis Davis is also present. She is now working at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel where she is hostess of the main dining room. Continuing on around the table, we discover that both John Market and Glen Pease are owners of garages. Glen has remained in Haviland and has a prosperous business. John and wife are located in South Bend, Indiana, where they are extremely happy. The master of ceremonies is now talking to Delores Keysor, who is star player on a professional women's teams in Miami, Florida. The weather and the beach agree quite well with Delores. As time is running short, we will just listen as he continues around the table. Gloria Springer is teaching school in Cleveland, Ohio. She is soon to become head of all the city schools. Eleanor Hoaglin is now in Washington, D. C. teaching Margaret Truman how not to flat when singing. Eleanor is meeting some very famous people and is taking advantage of it. Alice Williamson has for the previous year been directing an orchestra in New York City. The Roxy and Radio City Theaters are having a law suit to determine her next contract. Jeanne Griffis is running a nursery for children in Chicago and is saying that plans are made for extensive remodeling. She seems quite content and exceptionally happy. As we complete the circle, Gerald Laukhuf is seated next to Bud. Gerald is now playing in Spike Jones' Orchestra. He is planning to leave the entertainment world soon and retire to his huge cattle ranch near Dallas, Texas. . The master of ceremonies is now stating that this special program is completed, and I believe l will just turn the television set off for this evening. l am certainly glad to learn where the different ones of that class are fifteen years after their graduation.
