J udith Israelson .AJ 'FBI Bo .js-hfsforg Founded in 1955 by Anthony Snieckus, Chairman of the Citizenship Education Department, the object of F.S.H. lFelices Scriptores Historici-Happy Historiansj is to further the knowledge of its members in the tielcls of history, civics, geography, and world affairs and to promote better citizenship during the course ofthe club's existence. Membership in the club is limited to students of Social Studies 'lO, ll, 12 of Haverstraw-Stony Point High School. This year Mr. Frank Arone is assisting Mr. Snieckus as co-sponsor. A cake sale and dues finance the activities which include an educational trip and Christmas party. A play on some phase of history is presented before the student body annually. A program committee ar- ranges for monthly meetings. Pins and keys are avail- able to seniors in good standing, who have been active in the club for two years.

Patricia Golcey Adrienne Tanzi Harvey Wachman The Proctor S uad is the school's student olice force. q P Proctors direct traftic in the halls while classes are changing, lfoctol' and are stationed at hall desk posts during periods to main- tain order and assist teachers. Seniors with an 80 average are eligible for the squad, ua and Junior honor students are sometimes used for special if assignments. The Proctors, under the direction of Miss Dorothy Reilly, also have an annual field trip.

Jafin The Latin Club has been opening its meetings to the tune of Gaudeamus Igitur for the past I2 years and it was not different in '59-'60. Any student who has taken or is taking Latin II, III, IV, is eligible for membership. In addition, 'IO Latin I slaves, who scored 90M or above on the Ist quarterly examination, are elected and initiated into S.S.C.C.V., or the Society of Stu- dents of Caesar, Cicero, and Virgil. The club's purpose is to help Latin students under- stand Roman life and culture and to stimulate interest in the Latin language. During the year members participate in many activi- ties on Roman life and times. The Roman banquet, instituted for the first time last year, is a highlight of the cIub's program. The club also sponsors an annual trip to New York City, and a Christmas party.
