Ay. .ia ALBERT JOHNSON Class Sponsor The Recensio proudly salutes Mr. Albert Johnson, Sponsor of the Class of 1960, who has unselfishly given his time and effort to make this class a tremendous success. Mr. Johnson graduated from Bedford Hills High School, Bedford, New York and received his B.S. at Oswego State Teachers College. He received his Master's Degree from New York University and is currently studying at Seton Hall. In 1943 he spent a year on the Colorado mountain peaks as a ski instructor to the Ski Troops. Then, for six months during 1944, he served in the Air Force Cadets at Mississippi State College for Cadets. He joined the infantry and saw action in France, Germany, Austria, England, Scotland, and returned home by way of Iceland. Mr. Johnson came to Haverstraw in 1948. He has taught industrial arts, mechanical drawing, seventh and eighth grade science, and now driver education. Previously he had been advisor to the Class of 1956. Our Class Sponsor resides on Thiells Road, Stony Point, with his wife Patricia, and their sons, William, Robert, James, Richard, Gerald, and Albert, Jr. ln guiding this class, Mr. Johnson says that he has been well rewarded by cultivating, through activities, closer friendships with students in their last year of high school. We thank you, Mr. Johnson, for your consideration and help you have extended to us. We have been a success only under your careful guidance.
