Art Club will draw. 23 Yes, another Recensio meeting . . . another Recensio meeting . . . 24 The Happy Writers of History meets with Mr. Snieckus and Mr. Arone. Ooooh! Hoyer boys refuse to resign. 26 School is practically empty today because of the Holy Day, the Biology Club trip to Lederles, and the County G.O. Picnic at Camp Jawanio. But that Poison Ivy isn't a maple. 27 Moving Up Day- Where, oh, where? We're up here. 28 Dramatic Club Trip--Here we go to Stratford-on-Avon to see AvWinter's Tale. 30 Memorial Day-SCHOOL CLOSED. 31 Classday at Bear Mountain. June 1 Recensio meeting- 'But the book is in print. 3 Letter Day-Athletes clean up. 6 It's time to cram. Exams on their way. 13 Keep studying, kids. 16 Regents week begins. 23 Regents week ends. THE POOR INDIAN: Celebrating Bohemian Day, Haverstraw-Stony Point school girls mourn the fallen Indian, a 20-foot-tall effigy of a Nyack football player. Later Friday evening, October 9, the figure was burned at a pep rally on Markham Field. Among the girls who mourn the Indian's chances and hopes in a prophetic mood nobody else believed in are, from left to right: Rosie Pappaiani, Ann Marie Simonetti, Corlin Hollister, Carol Tatti, Deanna Whitington, Kathleen Connoly, Sandy Burcher, Virginia McCabe, Edna Deroscher, and Jean Gamboli. I4 Play goes into practice and boy it isn't going to be easy. This year Mr. Robinson is going to direct us. I8 Due to forgetfulness there was no National Honor So- ciety meeting. 22 History Club meeting-Mr. Snieckus decided that the club would go to the Andersonville Trial. Why are people trying to sell their tickets? 24 Modern Language Club Cake Sale-Even though Lent is here, the cake is selling. 28 No after school activities-Tests are coming! 3'I-'I Quarterly Exams-My heavens they were hard! April 5 Biology Club meeting-Michael Hoyer describes the experiment on sleep teaching, which he performed on his brother. 6 Rehearsal for the National Honor Society Induction -We did it four times. Every run-through was a new experience, especially in lighting the torch. 7 National Honor Society Induction-Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service were explained. 8 Freshman Dance-Two bands and a record player are in simultaneous rhythm. Spring sports swing into competition. 9 Latin Club-A Majority of One at the Ethel Barrymore Theater. 'I'I Assembly-Tuberculosis and the Heaf tests were dis- cussed. Hurry, Recensio Staff, there's a meeting, we have a deadline to make! 'I2 Modern Language meeting. 'I3 SCHOOL CLOSES FOR EASTER VACATION. 25 School reopens. 26 27 28 29 30 ff- sif tam Q? Opera Club and Art Club meetings. Now it's time for the Proiectionists to run a film. His- tory Club holds cake sale. Clothes and more clothes-The National Honor So- ciety is holding a fashion show. Dramatic Club performers in rehearsal. National Hon- or Society meeting. The History Club has a guest speaker on tap for today's Historians. lt's the History Club again. This time they're getting out of town to see Andersonville TriaI. May 2 3 4 5 6 9 11 12 '13 lt's a you-know what meeting. Recensio, now in the publishers' hands. Physical fitness assembly held in gym.-No, there really wasn't water in the bucket! Biology Club meeting to plan the trip. Latin Club-Consuls Chris Leahy and Michael Hoyer report on the genuine authentic imitation on Roman Banquet to be held. Dress Rehearsal-Are you nervous? Nope! Dramatic Club Play- Best Foot Forward with an all-star cast of our own thespians thinking of Broadway. Best show ever, gang. Would you believe it? There's nothing on the calen- dar and l'm still busy. National Honor Society Banquet- But I didn't order this dish! Dramatic Club-Voting for the scholarship prize to- day. Spring Concert-Lawrence Welk conducting. And a 'I-2-3-4 . . . Senior Prom-We're not superstitutions, it's only Fri- day the 18th. 'I29
