26 Recensio meeting. Football-We showed Pearl River Dewmbef' 27 28 29 30 27-0. Latin Club-Hail Caesar! Virgil! and Cicero! National Honor Society Meeting. Dramatic Club Cake Sale-cake and money. SCHOOL CLOSED-Teachers meeting November 2 3 6 9 10 'li 12 16 18 19 20 24 25 30 Q Junior Class meeting-They have a prom too. Re- censio meeting. Election Day and we have school! Football-19-0 loss to Sulfernp the boys played hard. Senior Class meeting-Some confusion over the cards. HOYER WINS!-It was the VFW Contest. Honor for Haverstraw. Biology Club meeting-One ameba was found lost. SCHOOL CLOSED-Veterans' Day. We beat the Falls in football. Proctor Squad-Miss Reilly wants us in a square. Modern Language Club-A new club formed and it is a success. College Night in Nyack-l didn't know there were so many schools that were so hard to get into. Dramatic Club-What shall we do for Thanksgiving? Quarterlies-No comment! Junior Dance-The Turkey Trot? Art Club-The paints are smeared. Dramatic Club Play-Willie Carves a Turkey. Recensio meeting-Horror after such a pleasant va- cation. 2 Biology Club-The wonderment of science. Latin Club-Freshmen Slaves elected into club. Assembly for Seniors-A memorial service was held in the auditorium for the Seniors who knew Miss Goldsmith. History Club-Mr. Snieckus sort of runs this club, don't you think? Pep Rally-For the first basketball game. REPORT CARDS-Why did l take Advanced and Physics any- way? Assembly-The orators of Haverstraw spoke to us about our true feelings on the Constitution. Cake Sale-Those secretaries really can cook. Proctor Squad received new buttons. Dramatic Club -Now what shall we do for the Christmas Assembly? Basketball-We're off to a good start. We beat Pearl River 60-36. Jr. Class Cake Sale. Basketball-We won again! 48-44. lt's Christmas party time again. The Latin Club had theirs. History Club Christmas party. A great success. National Honor Society meeting-We need money. Spring Valley beat us. I refuse to give the score. Assembly-All lucky fools who received 90 or above average got awards: there weren't too many Ad- vanced or Physics students. More Christmas parties. Secretarial Service Club, Bi- ology Club, and the Art Club, all had theirs. Holly Hop-A relief from the grind of school. Basket- ball-We beat Tappan. The spirits rise a little. Confusion everywhere-the freshmen don't know where to go and what to do. Red Key meeting-Mr. Farr's band. Election of G.O. representatives. Recensio meeting-first of a great many. Senior Class meeting-Mr. Johnson tells of Senior financial woes. Dramatic Club-organization and election of officers. Proctor Squad-Miss Reilly gives the proctors their instructions and elections are held. Red Key Election Football-we beat Middletown 19-75 there's hope for Haverstraw this year. Masque meeting. Driver Ed. assembly-l didn't realize it took that far to stop just doing one hundred. Opera Club-Miss Spiliotes has great hopes for her small group. Proiectionist Club-Mr. Schnell's cameramen. G.O. Workshop-Tiger's Den in Spring Valley. Football-The first league game. We beat Spring Val- ley 19-0. Recensio meeting-Who is going to edit the monster? Not I. Art Club-Mrs. Donny has some artists. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors meet their sponsors. Fire Drill-trucks and all. Pep rally-The girls cheered their hearts out. Junior- Senior Square Dance-Great fun for all. Rey Key ini- tiations-noise on the third floor. -Football-We tied Clarkstown 7-7. Biology Club-The Hoyer boys take over. Proctor Squad-Miss Reilly is not pleased. Pep Rally-The biggest yet. We burned that Nyack Indianp some wanted Nyack next. Football-We beat Nyack 26-0. They didn't know what hit them. lt was the spirit. Assembly-For a change Mr. Seifert read from the Bible. Art Club. Biology Club cake sale. Proiectionist Club meeting. Regents Scholarship exams. Dramatic Club meeting. J.V. Cheerleading tryouts. Senior Class meeting-Sell Christmas cards in Oc- tober? Football-We played Tappan and lost 25-21. The less said the better. Class meetings-They must plan their dances. Recen- sio-Attendance falling off. G.O. Political Rally. History Club-Not the Hoyers running againl Art Club meeting-They're going to have an exhibit. Opera Club. Red Key meeting. Sophomore dance. Assembly- Football pictures, what happened to the words? Latin Club-The consuls were chosen by the Senate. 24 Football rained OUT-

January- 5 6 7 8 9 12 13 14 15 18 19 20 22 25- Basketball-Rye beat us. Latin Club-Where shall we go for our spring trip? Dramatic Club-What shall we do this spring, and where shall we go? Basketball-Nyack slaughtered us! For those lucky seniors there's College Boards this Saturday. Mr. Snieckus' little group meets and Hawaii will be next. Dramatic Club meeting-What is a Founder's Day Tea? Modern Language Club-Let's go to Spain? Are you kidding, in Haverstraw? Basketball-Clarkstown beat us. Freshman meeting-The poor Freshmen sat through a two hour meeting. Jo Jo and Bill are running for President in the next election. Carmel-Since we are losing most of the games, the turn-out has been terrible. Ah, that's life. National Honor Society meeting- l don't care if you want a fashion show, since l'm sponsor I can tell you what you may have. No show. Note: the show was held April 28, 1960. Latin Club Cake Sale-MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! Basketball-We beat Suttern, 42-40. No one knows how we did it, not even Mr. Stirling, but we did! 28 REGENTS WEEK-One failure in Adv. I don't know how the others made it. February 2 28 Biology Club-We're going to Lederles. 3 Latin Club-I couldn't get tickets for the Royal Wed- ding, will you take A Majority of One? 4 History Club Play-The 564,375.57 question starring Rook Yawl and William Sutton. 5 Senior Square Dance-But none attended. Pearl River -The basketball team is looking better, the Jayvee team is champ. 6 G.O. Dance-Held in Haverstraw-Sandra Burcher was HSPHS's Queen. 10 Dramatic Club meeting-Let's do Best Foot Forward! 12 SCHOOL CLOSED-Lincoln freed us slaves. 18 History Club meeting-the sponsor went to Hawaii, so did the club-in spirit of course. They looked at the girls even though the sponsor didn't. 19 National Honor Society meeting-Who is the most famous woman in the Twentieth Century? Dolly Madison? 22 SCHOOL CLOSED-The Father of our country was born today. 25 Opera Club Cake Sale-They need money to go to the Opera. March 1 Biology Club-They took attendance! 2 Latin Club-They were pressured into getting the 53.60 seat. No use sitting on the ceiling. 3 SCHOOL CLOSED-THANK GOD FOR SNOW! 9 Dramatic Club-Who should be who? And what should be where? 10 Acceptances starting to pour Q?J in. 11 Junior Prom-A wonderful success for the Juniors. Too bad more Seniors weren't asked.
