gooflaf 7960 An underrated Raider football squad proved itself to be a hard hitting and determined bunch of boys. They compiled a record that can be con- sidered excellent in view of the lack of depth and experience. The team iumped to a league leading position early in the season with two wins and a tie. Defeating Nyack, favored by as many as five touchdowns, showed the tremendous determination and the strong school spirit behind our team. Unfortunately this victory marked the high point of the season. The fol- lowing week we lost a heartbreaker to Tappan Zee. From that point on, the only bright spot of the schedule was the win over Pearl River, our killer- of-the-past. The Class of 1960 placed only one boy on the squad. In any event, this boy lived up to the ideals of his fellow classmen. He played clean and hard. He never disgraced us as a player or as a sportsman. Another of the season's highlights was the election of two players to the All-County First Team. Ronald Schneider was selected for the backfield and Richard Lutkevitch for the line. Not to be forgotten is the excellent iob done by Mr. Ralph Cordisco, Coach-of-the-Year, and his fine staff. The outlook for the future is bright. The Class of 1960 wishes the coaches and the team the best of luck in the coming seasons.
