The club has an annual cake sale and tea, under the sponsorship of Miss Aron. Members visit large offices in this locality and in New York City, to gain familiarity with the pro- cedures.

The Lucky Club, a new organization in the school, is made up of the students in a special English Class conducted by Mrs. Strampfer. The club's purpose is to help Spanish-speaking pupils gain confidence with the English language, and to promote understanding between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking stu- dents.

J osette LeClair ,9- J4,-f CPM The members of the Art Club, recently under the direc- tion of Miss Sandra Cronin, have been quite active through- out the year. The members clo'special chores for the other organizations. Ceramics, oils, and pastels are a few types of medium familiar to the members. Water colors produced by the students have decorated the walls and the cafeteria at Haverstraw-Stony Point High School. The many and humorous posters have kept the students well informed of the social events throughout the school year. To become a member of the club, a student must have at least one year of art.
