Man kept expanding his ho- rizons, those as far from home as deep outer space or as close as the cavity of ci human chest. America was caught up in a never-ending cheer of USA, USA , lt was the all-purpose chant for the Olym- pic team as they reached their record 83 gold medals, or for a president seeking re-election.
