Bob is a very friendly and intelligent boy. This fortunate combination has made his many years at Haverford successful scholastically and has made the atmosphere of this institution more pleasant. Romo has been very active in extra-curricular activities. As a member of the Dramatic Club he graced our stage in the hilarious role of Daisy McSkew, a heroine pure and simple. and was the hit of the One Act Plays. Not only is Bob a great actor, but he has sung and debated very wcll for the Glee Club and the Polemics Society However his main activity has been in carrying on an exhaustive research on the female species conducted at the various dances and parties attended by boys from the Prep Bob has been a letter winner on the swimming team for the last three years and has excelled in his specialty the hundred yard freestyle as well as a member of the relay team In the summer he has used this ROBERT ALAN ROMOSER 5. French Club III V HUGH A. SARGENT 4 College Circle Haverford, Pa. W'hen the soccer coach Harry Smith remarked that Hugh Sargent was a streamlined player, he could well have said that Hugh was altogether a streamlined lad. For while the fair-complexioned. likeable fellow played good ball at left-fullback this year, he also has made a name for himself in other fields. Hugh has always been a top student in the class of 1952, ever since his beginning days in the fourth grade. He tackles his work with a quiet persevering and conscientious manner one that brought him hne results He is fimous for his intense love for the little singing animals of nature the birds Hugh can always be seen it the social functions the games and the parties of the school preferring to remain quietly in the background and enjoying everything fHes quite the star with the women alsoj After passing through the portals of Haverford Hugh plans to enter Harvard But wherever he goes and whatever he does he will certainly be a success Lltln Club III IV Glce Club V VI Polemies Society V VI 'I rcas Music Club III VI Wforld Affairs Council VI Honor Roll III IV V VI Temple Math Contest V VI Index III VI Contrib Soccer V VI Squash VI Baseball III 'I ennis IV VI Park Drive Manor Lincoln Dr and Harvey St Philadelphia 44 Pa Dick Schiller came to Haverford in the First Form From the begin ning there were unmistakable signs that the school had gained '1 boy who was not content to slip along in the smooth tunnels of drudgery he was a cog that escaped the machine He had that knowing look that calm assured manner something hard to Find but it was there Dick im mediately began to expand his held of operations He found little elifliculty in attaining honor roll status md has maintained his admirable position Dick has still another far more profound and meaningful an interest He has shown that he is aware of the spiritual demands of human life by his presence and support of nearby religious conferences Dick Schiller ts a boy who gave more to Haverford than he received and all who know him are sure that the same quality will bring him success at Penn 30 Spanish Club III IV V Currents Events Club VI Outing Club IV V Auto Club IV V VI Polemtcs Society VI Service Club VI Wcmrld Affairs Council VI Honor Roll VI Buck Hill Falls Conferences V VI Soccer III IV Swimming IV H V Co mgr VI Crew VI I 7 7 K la . .
