ROBERT ALEXANDER KIMBROUGH, III 13 St. Aspah's Rd. Bala-Cynwyd, Penna. Entered 1934 I suppose in a senior write-up one should state the achieve- ments of his school days that have given him the most personal satisfaction. The fact that I've been in the Class of '47 longer than anyone else fills me with pride. Yes, I must confess to the black truth that I flunked Kindergarten! It will be hard for me to leave Haverford because Ive had such fun here yet Im glad to have the chance to go out w1th the Class of 47 because lndeed there was never a f1ner group of boys Im sorry that we cant play the Episcopal game over again fsorrier than I can ayl but Im relieved that I dont ha Jo to lroulder any more solid geometry Many fond memories of good friends and pleasant rncldents will always arise rn my mind whenever I think of Haverford and Ill always be able to say Wllh deep pride that I was a member of the Class of 1947 Football H Wrestling H V Varsity Track Index Sports Editor V VI Haligolulc Feature Editor Dramatic Club III IV V Pres VI Signet V Pres VI Dance Committee Co Chairman VI Glee Club IV V VI Student Council V Chair Varsity Football IV H V Varsity Wrestling H V VI Co Captain VI Varsity Track IV V VI Halxgoluk Associate Editor Glee Club IV V President Student Council V Vice President and Secretary Class V1cePres1dent VI Honor Roll Eggleston Trophy V Signet Society VI Three Pours VI Dance Committee VI man VI Class Sec Treas ll IV Pres V VI Honor Roll III VI FERDINAND SCOTT KIMMICH 505 Lancaster Avenue Haverford Pennsylvania The thought never occurred to me when I entered Haverford three years ago that these seemingly long under graduate years would pass so quickly The warm perpetually shadowy halls smell mg of floor oil the gym bulging with boys adept at all sports and especially wet towel slrngmg the masters each one a complete and separate establishment of Haverford tradition all have become somewhat less fasclnatrng to me since my first few months here although they are still an integral part of school life I will always remember my IITSI day of school Frfteen mlnutes late to class I thrust my head in Dr Newhall s door and asked Is this Third Bible by any chance? Not by chance but by previous arrangement the good Doctor yovially replied Amid guffaws and catcalls I took my seat 29
