The Home Economics Department offers a Well-rounded program for girls embarking on a career in Home Economics or for those interested in the finer points of better homemaking. The classes cover subjects such as cooking, sewing, interior decorating, family relations, and preparation for marriage. Mechanical skills are capably taught in the Industrial Arts Shop. Dexterity in the fundamentals of electricity, woodworking, and printing is stressed. In the infirmary the school nurse is assisted by members of the Nursing Club. These girls have an opportunity to practice simple nurs- ing techniques and assume certain responsibilities pertaining to a school nurse. Mr. Frank Knorr, Director of Radio for Haverford Township Schools, directs interested students in radio broadcasting. This addition to the school program is part of an effort to revive W.H.H.S., Haverford's radio station. w-J' 'QW -wg:---v W' E 'li ' Ss Mellinger demonstrates the art of sewing to Bobbi Helen L.
