Chuse Temple Univ., B.S Art Club Through the years our school has developed a complete program for students with specialized interests. The art department provides the necessary instruction and inspira- tion for Haverford's future professional artists and also encourages an appreciation of, and an interest in art. A student with some vocal ability may gain valuable experience by participating in the various choral activities throughout the school year. Hard Working members of the school orchestra and band perform in many major school functions. Our library has a Wide selection of books, periodicals, and newspapers, ' l which supplements the diverse literature used in the standard curricu um. The library also serves as a quiet haven for study. We are extremely proud of Haverford's Fine Arts Department. A commercial student at Haverford gains a great deal of experience in skills valuable to him as a member of the business World. As a future secretary, a student must include two years of shorthand, two years of typing, and semester courses in office practice and commercial law. Those Wishing to secure positions as general office personnel study typing, general clerical, and consumer education. Courses in bookkeeping, merchandising, and sales are also offered as electives.
