The scarcity and rising prices of mate- rials have caused some disappointments among the members of the staif, for many things had to be altered to meet conditions. A yearbook should remind the owners and readers of their happy and carefree school days. The staff tried to maintain highlights of good fun and sportsmanship in school but certain things such as the patriotic design, the words U. S. Army, Navy and Marine Corpsi' and a few pictures remind us that our last two years were war years, and that we had other reasons for attending school than just because we had to or just-for-the-fun-of-it. We were in school to learn to think and the causes of war. After graduation we must not put our learnings aside but we must go on thinking and solving the problems of life.-D. R. Four R. R. The first three games proved disasf trous, but with one splashing victory over Valley Forge to their credit, the boys came back to down two previously undefeated teams-Berwyn and Lansdowne. They suffered no further defeats dur' ing the season. The Turkey Day annual was a thrilling spectacle which ended in a tie score. Coaches Stinson and Juenger worked hard, using psychology as well as physical practice to build the team. The student body is duly proud of their boys and their unfailing efforts.-Mf. M. C. Richter for the sketch of the school on pages 2 and 3 and for his advice in general. Nearly-all snapshots, faculty groups, and drawings are the eflicient and generous work of Edmund W. Schlottere. The cheerleader group was donated by Dr. J. Frank Carter. All portraits of graduates, administrators, and class groups were prepared by the Luedecke Studio, 7038 Terminal Square, Upper Darby. We are especially pleased with the prompt, excellent and friendly cooperation of Mr. Francis Luedecke of the Luedecke Studio. Hunting J. We appreciate the innumerable suggestions of Mr. Rockey of the Clark Printing House, Inc., 2130 Arch Street, Philadelphia, where this book was printed.
