TCPPi Through the kindness of Mrs. William Simpson, Jr., a tennis racquet was presented each year to the champion player of the class. Each succeeding year the previous winners were excluded from the contest, and in our senior year the four winners played for a silver trophy. The preliminary rounds were played at the College, and the finals decided on Mrs. Simpson ' s lawn. It came to be proverbial that the unity of ' 9o was one of its marked characteristics. It also became proverbial that this unity was due in a large degree to these annual tournaments, and the reception given the class on these occasions by Mrs. Simpson. 20
