HOSPITAL DIVISION A brief resume of fhe HAVEN'S parf in fhe Korean campaign indicafes 'Ihaf over 8,500 pafienfs were admiffed 'I'o 'I'he sick Iisf during fhe pasf eleven monfhs in Korean wafers. There were fwenfy-four deafhs recorded, buf four of fhese were dead on arrival, and fherefore fhere were onIy fwenfy deafhs from all pafienfs admiffed fo fhe sick Iisf which is considered fo be a remarkable record. A fofal of approximafely 23,000 ouf- pafienfs were given ouf pafienf freafmenf or seen in consulfafion. During a sfay of 4V2 monfhs af Inchon, 3,000 pafienfs were admiffed, while for a period of 5 monfhs in Pusan, a fofal of over 5,000 pafienfs were admiffed. The peak period of an average of IOI admissions per day for eighf days was reached during May 3 I fo June 7 inclusive. The daily paiieni' Ioad approximaied 500. When 'rhe HAVEN refurned Io Pusan on Sepfember 9, a 'IoIiaI of 232 paIien'Is were admiI red in one day. These, plus 'rhe I4I admissions of 'I'he previous day reached a grand Io+aI of 373 pa+ienI's acImi'r'red during a 48 hour period.
