Afier only nine days, +he HAVEN was ordered once again +o lnchon, Korea, arriving 'rhere I6 February, I95l. The number of palienrs received here was negligible because 'rhe Uni+ed Na+ions Forces were rebuilding lhe ruins of +he ci'ry and pori' facili+ies which had been previously des'rroyed or demolished when 'Phe Uni+ed Narions Forces re+rea+ed in January. The 'loial .daily pa+ien'l' s1'reng'rh never exceeded I20, and very liH'le medical ac1'ivi+y was experienced during .a s+ay of six weeks. HOSPITAL DIVISION During fhe second sfay af Inchon, a nofeworfhy buf saddening incidenf occurred when on March I7 a fruckload of Republic of Korea soldiers was sfruck by a Iand mine near Seoul. Ninefeen of fhese soldiers were seriously injured and broughf fo fhe HAVEN af abouf I900. Three of fhese soldiers were dead on arrival, and anofher died approxi- mafeIy six hours Iafer. The remaining fiffeen were eifher refurned 'I'o dufy or evacuafed fo a Korean milifary hospifal for furfher freafmenf and ulfimafe disposifion. During fhe sfay in Yokohoma, on April I2, I95I, fhe HAVEN was placed under fhe adminisfrafive confrol of Commander Service Force, Pacific, and was designafed af fhe U.S.S. HAVEN IAH-I2I, removing fhe conI'roI of MSTS, Pacific, for adminisfrafive purposes, of hospifal ships. When 'I'he HAVEN refurned fo Pusan on April 26, I95I, 'Ihe Communisf offensive had reached ferrific proporfions, and fhe casualfies fo Unifed Nafions Forces were HOSPITAL DIVISION
