Upon her arrival in Yolcosulca, Japan, on Ocfober I3, she was placed under fhe operafional confrol of Commander Naval Forces Far Easf. The vessel was fhen ordered fo lnchon, Korea, where she arrived Ocfober l8. Abouf one weelc lafer, 'Ihe HAVEN began receiving pafienfs of fhe armed forces of fhe Unifed Nafions in volume and acfed as a base hospifal for fhe nexf six weeks. During fhis period fhere was a daily average census of 530 pafienfs. A high pafienf census of 778 was reached on November I9, I950.
