The Impossible Tomorrow The Seniors, performing their last duties as students of Haubstadt High For many. Graduation night was a time for tears, for School, solemnly received their diplomas. others a time for smiles. The Seniors honored as special guests the Class of 1919. Each of the 50 year graduates were presented a red carna- tion. Mr. Giesecke, on behalf of the Class of 1919, de- livered an address. Those present from the honored class were left to right: Mrs. Albert Reising, Mr. Albert Rcising, Mrs. Naomi Lutz, Mr. Cornelius Lutz, Mr. Leo Hirsch, Mrs. Leo Hirsch, Mrs. Mabel Schwiersch, and Mr. Louis Giesecke. The Difficult Today With the class motto before them, the 45 Seniors received their diplomas from Superintendent, Mr. Kifer and Board member, Mr. Weber. As the many parents, friends, and relatives passed through the receiving line, the emotions of the Seniors were many and varied. There were tears, smiles, frowns, and sighs; but for all of the Seniors, graduation locked the doors of Haubstadt High School and opened many many more. 70
