The bookworm likes to stub' a lot and the athlete likes sports but we think that one of the best things we get out of h1gh school are the associations we make and keep For some of us these associations will live in memory only What could be a. yearbook' s pur pose more than to help us keep our school memor ies of our associations and activities with us always? In the future probably all of us will look back with longuxg at our lugh school days and wish we could start all over againh. So, if this yearbook fills no other purpose, we hope it will at least bring back the days of the football team and the schoolbooks. Twenty-two men were out for football, and practice was started when school began last fall. Fecause the majority of the boys were busy with fall work, practices were held mostly at night. Four games were played during the season. The Flyers' first game was with the Hillsboro 'Burros'. The Burros, having played eleven-man football before, had the edge on the green Hatton team, and they de- feated the Flyers, 12-O. The second game showed that the Flyers had learn ed oulte a bit from the previous ed the Larlmore Polar Bears, 9-6. game. Hatton defeat- TT, H 3: . This was the only game that Hatton played against s team which had just started eleven-man football. With the ball exchanging hands many times, the Hatton Flyers were not to be outclassed, clicking with two touchdown passes to put another game in the winning column for Hatton. The final score was 12-O. The last game of the season for Hatton was play- ed agalnst the sharp Mayville team, who defeated the Flyers, 40-12. Since Hatton does not have an eleven-man foot ball field, the Flyers played their home games at Grace Field in Mayville.
