'H-Club The purpose of the H-Club is to develop better understanding between the boys who play sports at H. H. S. President, Buster Long, Vice-President, Buddy Revels, Secretary, Ben Calhoun, Treasurer, Jerry Roberts. Q, X- maatena minouitq The Master's Minority is a special club for Christian girls which holds Christ above all. The purpose of the club is to hold high ideals and produce Christ-like lives through inspiring programs and Christian fellowship. President, Carolyn Shannon, Vice-President, Ann McCall, Secretary, Nancy Bowman, Treasurer, Mary Emma Gerald, Reporter, Mary Nelson. Spoutaman The Sportsmen's Club was organized for those interested in hunting, fishing, skeet- shooting, etc. The object is developing sportsman like conduct and safety in the fields. President, Johnny Baldwin, Vice- President, Bill Gurley, Secretary and Treas urer, Don Dillstone. -Hi-U To create, maintain, and extend throughout the homes, school and commun- ity, high standards of Christian Character. 'Tide Club The Tide Club was organized for the purpose of providing a medium for the exchange of ideas, methods, and infomation pertaining to vocational education among members. Boqa State Boys State is held each year in June for future seniors in order to increase the know- ledge of the youth in Mississippi pertaining to government and politics. Those who went are: Bill Johnson, Talmadge Irby, Buster Long, Carl Touchstone, Larry McDuff, Price Caldwell, Frank Mashburn, Gary Lowry, Buddy Revels, and Jerry Roberts. . ,ew S B X . B ' ' I s s .ff i , B rs,, g F i 5 1 C Qinla State Girls State is held in June of each year. The girls attending have finished their junior year in high school. It is a very educational experience, and the girls learn how their state government is run. They are: Gretchen Bomboy, Joanna Meadows. Not pictured, Diane Burke. .s Red Cnoaa Council The American Junior Red Cross is the iunior membership of the American Red Cross enrolled in secondary schools. Membership is open to all children of school age in actual attendance in public schools in all Red Cross Chapters. Mouth Conqueaa These members of the Pen and Gavel Club attended Youth Congress as delegates and vis- itors. Jeff Kirby, permanent president of the club, was elected Speaker of the House.
